In the recently introduced Forbes Global 2000 list, Satyam appeared at 1,874 based on a composite ranking measured by sales, profits, assets, and market value. The Forbes Global 2000 is a comprehensive listing of the world’s biggest and most important companies. The list comprises companies from 46 countries, with 34 organizations representing India.

Adding to this was yet another, even more impressive achievement. Satyam was acknowledged on the Forbes’s Global High Performers list, which includes 130 of the Global 2000. Forbes evaluated all 2,000 companies against several criteria, and then named only the top five companies in each industry. Selection criteria included comparing companies against industry peers in long- and short-term return on equity, sales growth, profit growth, return to shareholders, and other financial metrics. Satyam appears as a ”superstar” in the “Software and Services” category, which has four other technology companies. Forbes bills these five technology companies as “an elite list of fast-growing big companies that set the pace for their respective industries.”
